Class dress policy:  Since we do movement activities each music class and usually sit on the floor, I am asking that your child dress for music class in the same way they would for gym class: athletic type shoes and avoiding dresses and skirts.  This will allow the children to be comfortable and safe during our movement activities.  For safety reasons, students dressed in heels, crocs, flip-flops, etc. may not be permitted to participate in movement activities.  Exceptions for special days such as school picture day do not require a note or phone call.
